I have felt pain, anxiety, hopelessness and discomfort, just to name a few. Now I feel, joy, gratitude, happiness, love, support, comfort, compassion and ease. I have been able to move from those debilitating feelings and emotions and let the positive shine through.
My goal is to help as many people as possible do the same thing so they don’t have to suffer a minute longer. Helping others helps me stay in the light so my son, Sawyer and daughter, Willa, never has to see me in that darkness. And so I never have to feel that level of darkness again.
In 2013, new jobs, new pressures, marriage, baby, family, friends, the universe happened and I was finding it hard to cope with life so I coped in ways I knew “worked.” Most of which were terribly unhealthy and just aided in my downward cycle of losing myself. Then I found the deeper side of yoga. The true side of yoga. The root of yoga. I found a peace that made it ok to sit and process through anger. I didn’t realize my whole life I pushed away anger and hid it away like it was a terrible secret and didn’t exist. News flash…it does and it is perfectly ok to be angry sometimes, even for things you can justify. I realized it is ok not to have a perky, smile on my face at all times. I enjoy being happy and am a truly happy person to the core of my being but that happiness should shine naturally. I realized being a mom is freaking hard and I am going to feel like I am failing a lot but at the end of the day, my heart knows better. I can say with the utmost certainty that I am a wonderful mom. I am now able to see that there is NOTHING in this world that I can’t face, process and walk through. I am able to look at challenges and tough times with an optimistic outlook…I am able to laugh and say, “Ok, universe…what are you going to teach me today?” All of those things making me a better, more compassionate, enlightened human being.
The spiritual gifts that I was able to get from yoga/meditation were too powerful to keep to myself. So through much encouragement, support and spiritual guidance I made the decision to get my YTT certification. From teaching yoga, my practice and teaching evolved into sharing the unlimited gifts of meditation and reiki.
Haus of GS was built through lived experience.
It was shaped by struggle, recovery, patience, and the kind of growth that can only come from doing the work slowly and honestly. What began as personal healing evolved into a passion for creating spaces where others can experience that same sense of safety and self-trust.
This Haus stands for:
A sacred relationship with yourself
The belief that healing and humor can coexist
The understanding that all experiences, even the painful ones, can serve a greater purpose
The freedom that comes from feeling at home in your own body and life
Here, growth is not rushed. Connection is not forced. And you are invited to show up exactly as you are.
Gretchen’s work is rooted in lived experience and long-term practice. After beginning yoga for physical reasons in 2002, her journey deepened through alcoholism, recovery, and the discovery of mind-body-spirit healing. What started as movement expanded into meditation, energy work, and a holistic approach to personal transformation.
Today, Gretchen supports others through meditation, breathwork, sound healing, reiki, inner child work, and self-love practices—particularly within recovery spaces and private coaching. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical, emphasizing progress over perfection and safety over speed.
Her mission is to help people experience the freedom, self-trust, and personal power that come from doing the inner work with patience and intention.

Mindfulness. Faith. Action. Balance. I live mindfully so I can see where I need to insert faith, action or balance or all of the above. I try to live and support my family in the healthiest way I can. I am not perfect but I do try. It all starts and ends with being mindful and listening to my body, mind & spirit. If I am healthy I can put my best foot forward for my family & friends.
